Off-Course All-Terrain Golf.
Safety First: Always ensure the playing area is clear. Avoid trail areas, fragile meadows and large crowds. Play at your own risk.
Equipment & Chaos: Use standard golf clubs or mini-putters, the older and dented the better, they age quickly in OCAT Golf. Real golf balls allowed in designated putting areas; foam or reduced-flight balls spark creative, wild shots that are still safe. Portable tees (small turf or carpet squares, tiles,boards, tee) can be moved around to create new holes.
Dynamic Course Setup: Whether on natural terrain or temporary portable green, keep tees and targets moving. Include trees or obstacles to encourage innovative, chaotic play.
Putting Zones: Real balls aok for putting. Holes can be anything from paper discs to dug (4.25inch regulation, or cheap 4" PVC/ABS plumbing connectors) or composite astroturf decked greens - we recommend 4x8,4x4 or 2x8ft of ply>flexseal>astro, plans below!
All-Terrain: Foam balls are GREAT, promotes creative shots, chipping, or powerdrives space-permitting.
Typically Par 3 per hole; each player can receive three mulligans in friendy rounds with 9 holes and must take if shot will damage public flora. Can also invent house rules as needed.
Play games like H, O, R, S, E, be inspired by disc golf, billards, lawn bowling, maybe add minigolf side-rails to your green.
Respect & Safety: Respect public and private property. Prioritize the safety of all participants and bystanders.
Always leave playing area cleaner than you found it.
Never damage, dig, or divot public parks or spaces including lawns, fields, meadows. Don't mangle landscaping or trample sentitive areas for a shot/lost ball/ego, use a teebox or pad mentioned previously.
Don't launch balls into public waterways.
Rocks are tough, so is Sand, Dirt, and Gravel, all often beating you at golf - yet yearn to be your friend.
